Frequently Asked Questions
AUTHOR IGLA lives within the factory wiring and communicates with the vehicle’s computer directly. Its small form factor allows it to be hidden in hard-to-reach places making it near-impossible for thieves to locate. Because it blocks digitally through your vehicle network, there’s no need to cut power to different vehicle systems like a kill switch. It keeps installs clean, hidden and preserves factory systems.
The standard immobilizer does not always provide sufficient protection against theft, and, in some cases, it can be disabled even without access to the vehicle’s interior.
On cars with the Keyless Access feature, the signal from the standard keyfob can be intercepted by a thief, which makes standard security measures inadequate.

Its small form factor allows it to be hidden in hard-to-reach places making it near-impossible for thieves to locate. Your personal PIN is entered with buttons already in your car (steering wheel, console, window controls, etc.). Nothing new to carry and nothing for a thief to see.
A GPS tracker helps locate your vehicle after it has already been stolen. AUTHOR IGLA is designed to help prevent the vehicle from being driven away in the first place.
These systems solve different problems: a tracker is for recovery, while AUTHOR IGLA is for theft prevention. For stronger protection, both solutions can work together — the tracker helps you find the vehicle, and AUTHOR IGLA helps stop the thief from driving it away.

AUTHOR IGLA helps protect against modern theft methods where thieves try to start or move the vehicle without proper authorization.
This includes key cloning, relay attacks, key signal interception, OBD-based theft attempts, and electronic bypass methods. Even if a thief gets inside the vehicle or manages to start it, AUTHOR IGLA requires PIN authorization before the car can be driven.

AUTHOR IGLA uses a PIN-to-drive system. To drive the vehicle, the owner must enter a personal PIN using the factory buttons already inside the car. There are no visible panels, extra buttons, or obvious signs that show how the system works. Without the correct PIN, the vehicle remains blocked from driving, making it extremely difficult for a thief to simply get in and leave.
Yes, AUTHOR IGLA can be removed and reinstalled in another vehicle, as long as the new vehicle is supported by the system.
We recommend having removal and reinstallation done by the original shop since they will know exactly where and how to remove it safely.

Installation time depends on the vehicle’s make and model. On average, it takes from 45 minutes to 2 hours.
However, some vehicles may require a more complex installation, and the installer may need a little more time to complete the job properly.
